Meet Our Caregivers: Carol Fegley

At Hope Senior Home Care, our caregivers come to us with many different life experiences—but they all share one powerful trait: a genuine desire to help others. Carol Fegley is a perfect example of that heart-centered calling.

Carol joined the Hope team in 2011, stepping away from the professional world after her own family caregiving journey began. When Carol’s mother suffered a stroke, a physician recommended moving her into a group home. Out of love and devotion, Carol became a constant presence there—visiting often, getting to know both staff and residents, and immersing herself in that environment.

It wasn’t long before the staff recognized Carol’s natural compassion and asked if she would consider “testing the waters” as a weekend caregiver. Carol gladly said yes—and she has never looked back.

Inspired by the legacy of Florence Nightingale, Carol has built a caregiving style rooted in kindness, dignity, and genuine connection. Over the years, Hope clients and their families have shared that Carol’s warmth and dedication have made her feel less like a caregiver and more like a member of their family.

Carol is known for always going the extra mile—whether that means tending to a client’s garden, offering companionship that truly lifts spirits, or encouraging clients to continue the activities that bring them joy and purpose. In addition to providing exceptional companionship care, Carol is committed to lifelong learning, continually expanding her skills to better support clients as their needs change.

Outside of work, Carol treasures time with her children and grandchildren. Family meals at Apple Annie’s are a favorite tradition. As she looks ahead, Carol plans to continue caregiving while also slowing down just enough to explore new joys—like learning to paint and playing pickleball.

Carol is truly a treasure to the Hope Senior Home Care team, and we are grateful every day for the compassion, experience, and heart she brings to our clients and their families.

Thank you, Carol, for being the very best of Hope.
