Joan Pfaendtner

Joan Pfaendtner

Director of Operations

Joan Pfaendtner Jackson is the Director of Operations at Hope Senior Home Care and has been with the company since its inception. When she is not managing the office and caregivers, Joan is involved in philanthropic institutions such as the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Beaumont Assistance League. She is also an active member in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church parish community as well as their Parish Council.

In her free time, Joan likes to travel both locally and internationally. There is always something new in Detroit to explore! Joan also loves to experience art in many different forms such as architecture, books and people. She always says that a day without art is a day without sunshine!

She currently lives in Grosse Pointe with her husband of 28 years, David, with their three children, dog and two cats.

Alexandra Short

Alexandra Short, LLMSW

Gerontological Social Worker

Alexandra E. Short (Allie) LLMSW, our newest member of the Client Care Services Team, is a gerontological social worker. In this capacity, Allie will serve as a key member of the social services outreach, maintaining and facilitating relationships with clients and their families, as well as providing social and assessment services to clients.

Allie earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree, graduate certificate in gerontology and Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University. While attending WSU, Allie held prestigious internships with The Helm at the Boll Life Center, formerly Services for Older Citizens in Grosse Pointe Farms, as well as Critical Signal Technologies in Novi. In both capacities, she assisted with case coordination and management, as well as community outreach, resource allocation and client relations. Short also served as a facilitator for The Helm Brainstorm Workshop created in unison by WSU and the Institute of Gerontology. Allie is committed to reducing stereotypes and ageist beliefs.  Allie’s goal is to provide competent services, an empathetic ear, open mind, and compassionate heart to all clients, caregivers, and client families.

Allie was born and raised in Michigan. She currently resides in St. Clair Shores. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, snuggling with her cat Iggy, and relaxing to music.

Victoria Lines

Victoria Lines

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Victoria Lines, a Point Park University Graduate, has worked with Hope Senior Home Care since December 2016. Like all of Hope’s office staff, Victoria wears many hats but her main rolls include; managing the websites, maintaining the social media accounts, publishing blog posts, overseeing print advertising and contributing with the day to day office operations. She is a proud member of the Assumption Senior Expo Committee and is looking forward to joining the Society of Certified Senior Advisors this spring. 

Born and raised in Michigan, Victoria lived in Pittsburgh, Pa while pursuing degree in Marketing and Public Relations. In 2016, she returned to the mitten and is proud to call Michigan her home. She is currently living with in Southgate with her Fiance and Step- Son. In her free time, Victoria enjoys playing with her two dogs and kitten, spending time with her family, and planning her wedding with her fiance, Tim. Victoria has been a competitive dancer for the last 20 years and has traveled the world competing as an Irish Dancer.  Victoria’s favorite quote is “dogs are like potato chips, it’s hard to have just one.”

Patty Marantette

Patty Marantette, CSA

Community Outreach Liaison

Patty Marantette has been with Hope Senior Home Care since January 2014. She came from a teaching background, but after taking care of her parents for four years, she realized that her passion was helping seniors and their families with the issues that arise during the aging process. Patty decided she could better serve her clients by further educating herself in working with older adults, and in 2016 she obtained her Certified Senior Advisor Certification. She is now focused on building a database of resources for seniors and is the key employee assisting veterans and their families in obtaining the Aid and Attendance Pension through the Veteran’s Association.

Patty, born and raised in Grosse Pointe, loves spending time with her husband, four grown children and their dogs.. Whether traveling or at home you can always find Patty on the golf course, or enjoying other outdoor activities.

Carol Rebain

Carol Rebain

Recruiting Manager/ HR

Carol Rebain has lived in the Detroit area all her life, calling many cities her home – St. Clair Shores, Ypsilanti, Fraser, Detroit, and the past 32 years in Grosse Pointe with her husband of 45 years.  Carol graduated from Eastern Michigan University with an Education degree in Mathematics and taught high school for 33 years in Fraser, Michigan.  After retirement, Carol felt she had way too much time on her hands, no longer having any teenagers to educate, so she began working with Terri Murphy. Although she misses “her kids”, Carol truly enjoys her second career with Hope Senior Home Care.  Carol is the recruiting manager and contributes wherever she can to support the Hope staff. 

Carol loves the time she spends with her grandchildren, who are the sunshine of her life.  She enjoys playing with her beagles, reading, gardening, and the occasional binge on Netflix.

Monica Tulloch Boynton

Monica Tulloch Boynton


Monica Tulloch Boynton is a native Grosse Pointer. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Delta College and practiced in the Grosse Pointe area for 20yrs. After retiring from Dental Hygiene, she took a different route in the working world and became the General Manager of Jacobys German Biergarten, the oldest Saloon in Detroit. In addition to managing Jacobys, Monica missed the interaction with her patients and became a personal home care specialist. She took on one special patient and her ailing mother. After the sad passing of her patient, Monica knew this was the new career path for her, and in 2017 joined the team of Hope Senior Home Care.

In her spare time, she enjoys, traveling, sports, and boating with her husband Geoff and their two children Scott and Jeannie.
